The Oppenheimer Scholarship Fund promotes links between the University of Oxford and South African Universities by supporting academic exchanges between Oxford and South Africa, and assisting South African students wishing to pursue graduate study at Oxford. Harry Frederick Oppenheimer, a noted South African businessman, philanthropist, and opponent of apartheid, endowed the Oppenheimer Fund at Oxford University in 1993.
Scholarship Worth
The scholarship recipients will be awarded a grant to support up to £6500 of fees or living costs. Awards are usually made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course. If your scholarship is offered for a course lasting more than one year, the continuation of your scholarship each year is subject to an annual renewal process based on satisfactory academic progress.
How to Apply
Apply at the same time as you apply to Oxford by selecting Oppenheimer Fund Scholarships in the Funding Section of the University’s Graduate Application Form.Scholarships for African students only
